Somehow September has turned into May and another academic year has been put to rest. Graduates are into job searches, returning students are working at internships and there are a lucky few who are able to take a break and do some traveling.

I held back this issue of Plan2Plan so that your Student Representative for 2005/2006 could be properly introduced. We had three candidates this year. Representing the west coast was Dara Parker from UBC; Jessica Roder from the University of Manitoba represented the geographic centre of Canada; and from the far east we had Andrew Curran from Dalhousie. At the CIP Conference in Calgary I will officially pass the torch to Andrew Curran from Dalhousie. You can read about Andrew in his campaign statement later in this issue. Readers will also find an update on the status of the dissolution of CAPS.
Since this is my last edition of Plan2Plan I want to take a moment and extend my sincere appreciation to all student representatives across Canada who kept the communication lines open and worked to make students an important part of our profession. I must also thank the members of the CIP National Council and office staff in Ottawa for their support, guidance, patience and humour. It has been both an honour and pleasure to make a small but early contribution to the planning profession.
I look forward to catching up with planning students and professionals at the CIP Conference in Calgary.
A là prochaine!
Susanne
